Purple fluorite aesthetic with quartz

From our selection of collectible minerals we propose a splendid group of Fluorite crystals with Quartz from Berbes, Asturias, Spain. In addition, it is characterized by elegant cubic crystals of Fluorite in an intense violet color, with evident step-like growths and internal zonation, in strong color contrast with the microcrystalline white Quartz matrix, and by the fluorescence reported on the piece, features that increase its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with characteristics that highlight its natural structure and visual impact. Fluorite derives its name from the Latin 'fluere' (to flow), due to its ability to lower the melting point of minerals in metallurgical processes, from which the term 'fluorescence' also derives, observed for the first time precisely on this mineral. The violet color is due to color centers in the crystal lattice, often linked to traces of natural radioactive elements or structural defects. The Berbes mining area, in Asturias, is one of the most historically noted Spanish regions for the production of collectible fluorite of quality, often associated with quartz. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the field of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always indicated in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight variations in shade may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
