PRISCO (Michele) - DE VECCHI (Pierluigi). The Complete Works of Raphael. Milan, Rizzoli Editore, “Classici dell’Arte” series, n.d. [1960s]. Quarto, publisher’s cardboard binding with illustrated dust jacket. A major monograph and catalog of Raphael’s work, featuring an introduction by Michele Prisco and critical and philological apparatus by Pierluigi De Vecchi. The volume combines a general study with particularly extensive chronological and critical documentation on Raphael’s life and career. Very abundant black-and-white and color illustrations, including numerous full-page reproductions of paintings and frescoes, notably the *Madonna della Seggiola* and the *Triumph of Galatea*. This volume is part of the renowned Italian collection “Classici dell’Arte,” conceived as a series of richly illustrated monographic catalogs. The cover is slightly scuffed, with a few marks and foxing, mainly on the back cover; the interior is in good condition.
