Pozzi - Joe Colombo - Chair (6) - P300 - Wood, Textile

RARE SET OF 6 P300 JOE COLOMBO CHAIRS FOR POZZI, ITALY, 1960s Rare and elegant set of six chairs model P300, designed by Joe Colombo for Pozzi, Italy, in the 1960s. This model perfectly embodies the most radical and architectural design language of Italian design of the period: a rigorous synthesis of structural geometry, ergonomic comfort, and formal experimentation, elements that made Joe Colombo one of the most iconic and collectible figures in twentieth-century international design. The structure, with strongly sculptural proportions, is made of dark-stained/ebonized wood, featuring the characteristic monolithic development of the front legs that smoothly transform into the armrests, defining a clean, essential silhouette that is instantly recognizable. Seat and backrest are padded and upholstered in vintage ochre/h honey-colored fabric, introducing a refined chromatic contrast with the geometric severity of the structure, creating that sophisticated balance typical of the best Italian modernist design. The attribution is based on bibliographic references and formal comparisons with documented exemplars of the P300 model, associated with the historic Italian production Pozzi of the Sixties. These chairs fit perfectly into modernist interiors, collectible design interiors, contemporary residences, or high-profile interior projects.
