Descriptio Oil on panel. Dimensions: 23 × 19 cm; with frame: 34 × 27 cm. Signed on the right side: “L. Casanova”, with the date inscribed below, apparently “1886”. Childhood portrait of Gabriel Miró, depicted bust-length and slightly turned, gazing at the viewer, against a dark background of reddish and brownish tones. The intensely illuminated face contrasts with the background and is rendered with loose, visible brushstrokes, also evident in the clothing. It retains its molded wooden frame with carved decoration. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed.
