Ø59mm, ca. 155g, magnificently crafted silver case, double case, inner case smooth, case and movement bear the same number 284, master's mark LD, magnificent early verge movement with rare tulip-shaped pillars and diamond endstone, signed Joseph Antram London, original Silver dial also signed, date window, iron hands, movement intact. Joseph Antram worked as a respected watchmaker in London from 1700 to 1723. From around 1696, he served an apprenticeship as a watchmaker with Charles Gretton and was admitted to the Clockmakers’ Company in 1706. At the same time, he became a member and watchmaker to King George I.
