Piaget's engagement with hardstone dials during the 1960s and 1970s represents one of the most distinctive and enduring contributions of any Swiss manufacture to the history of haute horlogerie, a body of work in which the boundary between watchmaking and jewellery was dissolved with a consistency and confidence that no contemporary has equalled.
