Philip Ashberry & Sons - Coffee and tea service (6) - Silver-plated

The tea and coffee service consists of 5 pieces. The pieces were made by the renowned Sheffield-based manufacturer Philip Ashberry & Sons and are fitted with refined black insulated handles. Coffee pot with lid (stamped Philip Ashberry & Sons, Sheffield - Model 2685) - Teapot with lid (stamped Philip Ashberry & Sons, Sheffield - Model 2685) - Creamer (stamped Philip Ashberry & Sons, Sheffield - Model 2685) - Open sugar bowl (bears the stamped reference "silverplate" on the bottom) - Tea caddy with coordinated screw-on lid (stamped Philip Ashberry & Sons, Sheffield - Model 3343 - with two small pinpoint dents on the flat top surface). The tray is punch-marked on the handle by the renowned Birmingham silversmiths Daniel & Arter. The piece bears the catalog serial number H6555 and the inscription E.P.N.S., which attest to its refined, thick silver-plated workmanship.
