I can also confirm that this was one of Bill’s working cameras, which he used when he was “out and about” photographing during his career. Bill built a remarkable career photographing British and international music, film and television personalities. His portfolio includes The Beatles, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Bee Gees, Marc Bolan, T. Rex, Rod Stewart, Suzi Quatro, Marianne Faithfull, Mary Hopkin, Lulu, Status Quo, Madness, Bananarama, Toyah, Captain Sensible, Oliver Reed, Patrick Macnee, Diana Rigg, Joanna Lumley, Barbara Windsor, Peter Davison, Tony Blackburn and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among many others. Bill also became involved in the management of Imagination, having originally worked with the group as a photojournalist. The Camera The Pentax K1000 is one of the most recognisable and enduring 35mm SLR cameras ever produced. Its simple mechanical design, manual focusing and straightforward controls made it particularly popular with photographers who wanted a reliable, uncomplicated camera.
