The Pax Jr is an ultra-compact 35mm viewfinder camera produced in Japan during the mid-1950s by Yamato Kōgaku. Celebrated for its diminutive proportions that resemble a scaled-down precision rangefinder, this mechanical miniature camera earned a dedicated following for packing full 35mm format capability into a pocket-sized, precision-machined chassis. Today, well-preserved examples of the Pax Jr are highly prized by collectors of miniature precision cameras and enthusiasts of post-war Japanese photographic design.
