Patinated corrugated iron sculpture of a hunter. French School. 19th century.

Descriptio Patinated tin with a wooden base. Dimensions: 39 x 21 x 12 cm. The sculpture depicts a hunter in period attire, raising his arm in a triumphant gesture while a dog faithfully accompanies him. The richness of the folds, the facial expression, and the detailed attire reveal the Romantic influence and the nineteenth-century predilection for naturalistic and rural themes. The dynamic composition and attention to movement give the piece a lively, narrative character, typical of the French workshops specializing in tin sculptures during the 19th century. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
