Pasquale Vuotto is a contemporary Italian painter and poet, born in Naples in 1958. He is particularly esteemed in the Neapolitan art scene for his ability to capture the soul of the marine landscapes of Campania. Artistic path Early passion: He started painting at the age of just 10, driven by innate talent. Training: He began as a self-taught artist, guided by a strong creative instinct. Subsequently, to refine technique, he attended the art studios of masters D'Urso and Ciardo, achieving excellent technical maturity. Philosophy: Vuotto has never sought wealth or fame for art’s sake, but rather a sense of deep personal and spiritual fulfillment. In his works, painting often blends with poetry, conveying a sense of meditation. Style and subjects The painting “from life”: About 90% of his output is dedicated to his beloved Naples and the nearby coastal towns. From a young age he loves painting en plein air (from life). pasquale-vuotto-ormeggio-a-pozzuoli/) Favorite themes: He is famous mainly for his seascapes, fishing villages (such as Ischia, Pozzuoli, Sorrento and Positano), small harbors and the iconic fishing boats moored, just like those visible pasquale-vuotto. Critics sometimes liken his chromatic sensitivity to Post-Impressionist movements or the Macchiaioli. He uses oil colors to give extraordinary depth and a sense of movement to the water and sky, capturing particular hours of the day such as dawns, dusks or overcast days. Recognitions: In addition to being a reference point in Italian art galleries, his works have crossed national borders, being exhibited and collected abroad, particularly in the United States, in England and in Germany.
