PAOLO CONTIN has been developing a personal and continuously evolving artistic path for more than twenty-five years. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance. Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. This was followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney. PAOLO CONTIN's artistic trajectory is also documented by his presence in the Arte Mondadori Catalog with corresponding valuations. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major art fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture. He was also among the founding members of Tostart, an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Venetian artists and active until the Pandemic period. An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, distant from belonging to any single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, color fields, geometric shapes, and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion. Experimentation extends to sculpture and wood as well, with works built through the stacking of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the boundaries of painting alone. His work continues to evolve today without preset formulas: each work is born from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity.
