PAOLO CONTIN has been developing for over twenty-five years a personal artistic path in constant evolution. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he transfers to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form and compositional balance. Since 1999 he has exhibited his works and in 2002 he held his first solo show in Padua. Followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney. Paolo Contin’s artistic path is also documented by presence in the Catalogue of the "Arte Mondadori" with related price quotes. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and important Art Fairs, some of which were published with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture. He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the period of the Pandemic. A eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built over the years a recognizable language, far from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, matter painting and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes and intense chromatic relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he explores balance, movement and emotion. Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond the boundaries of painting alone.
