Paleolithic Flint Large Paleolithic chopping tool

Large Paleolithic chopping tool from the famous Wiméreux site (Pointe-aux-Oies) which was already discovered in 1967 in the north of France. The choppers from this site are made from generally fairly large flint nodules found there. Dimensions 108 x 95 mm They are associated with an early Homo erectus, and Wiméreux is probably the northernmost find site of this industry. This specimen has over time acquired a beautiful color palette on the knapped surfaces. The actual color on the inside of the flint nodules is gray-black, visible at a few small damaged spots.
