Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) - La Ronde de la Jeunesse

This lithograph corresponds to an official edition titled "La Ronde de la Jeunesse" (The Circle of Youth), published by the movement "Combat pour la paix" (Combat for Peace). The dimensions of the print are 65 centimeters high by 50 centimeters wide, a standard size highly valued for artistic prints of this edition. The piece stands out for being printed on high-quality Arches paper, a French cotton support recognizable by its tactile texture, its ragged and irregular edges, and the embossed watermark visible at the margin of the paper. This type of support guarantees the durability of the work over time and ensures a clean and sharp absorption of the colors. The artistic composition shows a group of stylized human figures, drawn with simple and fluid strokes in ochre, yellow, brown, and reddish tones. These figures dance in a circle holding hands around a central blue dove, which holds a branch in its beak as a universal symbol of peace. Under the main motif there are blue horizontal lines that ground the scene, and in the lower right corner appears the signature of Pablo Picasso engraved in plate together with the original date of the design: 25.7.61. It has some annotations on the back that do not affect its value and some minor back damage that does not show generally; it is in very, very good condition, no breaks, no folds, no stains, very well preserved. Edition combat pour la paix spadem Paris France. It ships well protected and with tracking. Good luck and a good auction with no reserve.
