This specimen is an original New Old Stock (NOS). Archival note Robert La Roche, Viennese designer active from 1973 to 1999, is considered one of the leading figures in 20th-century eyewear: his glasses have been worn by stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Meryl Streep, Yoko Ono, and Andy Warhol. In 2016 the MAK in Vienna dedicated the first major museum retrospective to him, displaying pieces from the 1,200 models created during his career.
