Oriented Meteorite Unclassified chondrite - 632 g

Type: Oriented chondrite meteorite Weight: 632 g Place of discovery: Western Sahara Discovery date: November 2019 Specimen of an oriented chondrite meteorite, with a clearly defined orientation, weighing 632 grams, found in Western Sahara in November 2019 by a meteorite hunter during an expedition. It is an isolated piece, being the only fragment recovered in the find. The sample displays a clearly oriented shape, with visible regmaglypts that reflect its high-velocity atmospheric entry. These surface textures lend the piece a distinctive and aesthetic character, evidencing its exposure to the ablation process during its passage through the atmosphere. At the base there are light signs of superficial oxidation, typical of exposure to desert conditions, without significantly affecting the overall integrity of the specimen. It is an attractive and representative piece, ideal for meteorite collectors and enthusiasts of extraterrestrial material for its shape, visual presence, and context of discovery.
