The bezel insert is steel, not aluminum: it resists scratches, does not fade, and ages with the case rather than before the case. The double polished and brushed finish makes it legible in any lighting condition. From the display case back you can observe the Japanese automatic movement at work, with the Norton-custom rotor recharging with every wrist movement.
