Vintage modernist silver ring by the Finnish maker KJP (Nordform), dating from 1985. The ring features an oval, sculptural top about 1.6 x 1.4 cm. The design consists of a mix of smooth and oxidized sections, small bead accents, and an asymmetrically curved silver element. In the center is a round faceted rock crystal set at about 6 mm in diameter. The outer edge of the ring head has a fine, layered texture, giving the design extra depth. The combination of geometry, oxidation, and asymmetry fits nicely within Finnish modernist jewelry design of the 1980s. The ring band is open and adjustable and measures about 2.6 mm in width. On the inside the ring is stamped with KJP, 925 and the Finnish date letter H8, corresponding to 1985. The ring is in very good vintage condition. There are only minor signs of wear visible and the piece appears to have been worn little.
