This is a ancient technique that was used to bring the lustre of the stones to its best quality. This is being done by placing in the closed mounting under the stone a highly polished cone of silver foil. Precious stone(s): Sixteen old mine cut white strass (also called paste) as diamond imitation and two blue strass (also called paste) as sapphire imitation Birth and month stones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April and Sapphire is the birthstone (or month stone) for September. Hallmarks: No trace.
