Natural group of Ammonites of the Genus Cleoniceras - Aioloceras Sp

Aioloceras Sp. - Early Cretaceous (145–100.5 million years ago) — Natural grouping of iridescent ammonites of the genus Cleoniceras Albian – Lower Cretaceous, Madagascar An elegant natural composition that encloses numerous specimens of the genus Cleoniceras, extinct cephalopods that lived about 110 million years ago. The shells, beautifully preserved, show extraordinary mother-of-pearl iridescence, with hues ranging from pink to green, from gold to violet, depending on the incidence of light. Each ammonite is wound in a regular planispiral spiral, with chambers visible in the cleaned rear section, where the complex sutures stand out, illustrating the evolutionary refinement of this group. The block is completely natural, coming from a fossil-bearing formation in the southwest region of Madagascar, one of the world’s best-known areas for spectacular preservation of iridescent ammonites. The piece combines aesthetic value, chromatic rarity, and paleontological interest. Mounted in an autonomous position, it can be exhibited in scientific collections, natural curiosity galleries, or as a fossil sculpture for interior decoration. Details: Species: Cleoniceras sp. Period: Early Cretaceous (Albian, about 110 million years ago) Origin: Mahajanga Region, Madagascar Formation: Natural (not assembled) Characteristics: Ammonites with iridescent mother-of-pearl and a visible polished cross-section Conservation: Excellent, with authentic structure and colors not restored A fragment of a prehistoric ocean that unites the primordial beauty of nature with the elegance of fossil forms.
