Murano glass - Necklace with pendant - Ape Muranese

Entirely handmade in Murano, this small glass bee is a true miniature sculpture, shaped piece by piece with flame‑working. The head, in glossy black glass, is lit by two inset eyes that give it a lively and friendly expression. The body, in honey and amber colored glass, is wrapped in the classic dark stripes and traversed by soft veining that, when held to the light, reminds of honey itself. On the sides two wings of transparent amber-yellow glass are heat-applied. When struck by light, the wings let it filter through and cast delicate golden reflections. A black seed bead at the end completes the body like a tiny sting. The pendant is mounted on a finely worked gold-toned jump ring and descends from a thin twisted-link chain. The spring-ring clasp, with extender chain, allows you to adjust the length. A cheerful piece of jewelry with a lot of character, perfect to wear every day or to give to someone who loves nature and original details. Each bee is unique: the glass tones, the pattern of the stripes, and the shape of the wings vary from piece to piece. Small bubbles and irregularities are a sign of handcrafted work, not defects. Details Technique: lamp‑worked glass, miniature sculpture handmade. Chain length: about 44 cm, adjustable with the extender chain (princess length, falls at base of the neck). Pendant: about 2.5 × 2 × 1.5 cm. Chain, jump ring and clasp: gold-colored metal. The necklace arrives in an elegant rigid jewelry box with a black velvet interior, ready for gifting.
