Mosaic - 2015

Work inspired by the micro-mosaics of the late 18th century created by Giacomo Raffaelli. A motif from the Armoire by the famous cabinetmaker Boule, which is at the Louvre in Paris, was taken as a model—an inspiration that is very modernized, one might say. The piece is enhanced by a hollow wooden painted frame. Its maker is a French amateur mosaicist with undeniable talent. It is in excellent condition; the frame may have minor losses of paint. The signature and date are visible on the back of the object.
