Montblanc - Writers Edition 1992 (Ernest Hemingway) - Pen

A0000005773 MONTBLANC WRITERS EDITION 1992 "ERNEST HEMINGWAY": We present at auction the foundational piece of modern Montblanc collecting. Launched in 1992, the edition "Ernest Hemingway" had the honor of being the first of the now legendary "Writers Edition" collection. Finding units in this magnificent condition has become a real challenge for enthusiasts worldwide. The design of this fountain pen is a direct tribute to the mythical Montblanc 139 fountain pen from the 1930s. It features bold and balanced dimensions (13.3 cm in length and a maximum diameter of 1.3 cm). The body is machined in a brilliant coral-red precious resin, which contrasts dramatically with the cap and the lower cone in dark resin. The metal details, gold-plated, include a beautiful vintage-style clip. On the cap, as the sole personal adornment, is engraved the signature of the Nobel Prize in Literature. Condition (Expert Review) Prospective bidders are asked to examine the photographic gallery carefully. The pen is in magnificent aesthetic and functional condition, very well cared for despite being over 30 years old: Resin and Golds: The coral-red body and the cap retain a deep, uniform shine. There are no cracks, dents, or deep scratches; only microscopic micro-scratches ("hairs") superficial to very occasional rubbing. The rings and the clip retain all of their gold plating with no obvious wear. Mechanics: The continuous twist mechanism works with total smoothness to extend and retract the nib. (Note: The writing instrument is delivered as-is, without the edition’s original book-form boxes. It is possible that the internal ink refill may require replacement in the future). Shipping The item will be carefully protected and securely packaged, with highly insured shipping and an international tracking number. A huge opportunity to acquire the "Holy Grail" that inaugurated Montblanc's Writers Editions! Best of luck to all bidders!
