Montblanc - StarWalker Rubber & Metal - Pen

We present at auction an example with a bold, unmistakable aesthetic: the Montblanc StarWalker Rubber & Metal Ballpoint Pen. This captivating model stands out for its architectural, contemporary design, offering a tactile and visual experience of great impact, ideal for those seeking a writing instrument with a dynamic and sporty character without ever sacrificing the absolute elegance of the renowned German maison. The body and cap feature an extraordinary surface in premium black rubber, worked with a sophisticated diamond-carved grid pattern. This particular textured geometry reveals the solid metal underlying structure, creating a magnificent material contrast with the bright finishes finely plated in platinum. At the top of the cap sits the most iconic element of the entire collection: the striking transparent resin dome in which the six-pointed white star gracefully floats, a universal symbol of excellence. On the cap ring of the slender clip, the individual serial number is clearly engraved, a indisputable guarantee of the piece's authenticity. Technically speaking, this prestigious instrument is configured as a ballpoint pen and is operated by a fluid, solid, and fail-safe rotary mechanism. The photographs that depict the specimen carefully disassembled into its main components confirm the perfect and robust integrity of the internal brass mechanical structure and the surgical precision of the threads, also showing the refill inside, ready for use. The conservation state of this pen is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The rubber coating, a material that requires great care, is presented here as beautifully preserved, intact, and pleasant to the touch, with no unusual wear or degradations. The brilliant platinum finishes are shiny and gleaming, showing exclusively microscopic and completely physiological signs of surface wear due to normal, careful, and respectful handling, entirely invisible at a first quick glance.
