Montblanc - Pix No

A0000005509 PORTAMINAS MONTBLANC PIX NO. 26 (AÑOS 60): We present at auction a historic piece for purists of writing: the legendary Montblanc Pix No. 26 mechanical pencil, manufactured in Germany in the late 1960s. The designation "Pix" refers to its revolutionary and infallible push-button repetition mechanism, a system so iconic that Montblanc would end up registering the word as its hidden authenticity seal in decades to come. This piece features the coveted morphological details of the 1960s "2x" series, clearly differentiating it from later productions. It boasts the characteristic straight, flat-profile clip that sharpens uniformly toward the tip, as well as the unmistakable protruding double gold band in the middle section of the chassis. The body is made of glossy black resin, crowned by the exposed metal top button, which houses the emblematic six-point white star of the Maison. State of preservation (Expert Review) The piece is in good aesthetic and functional condition, a magnificent survivor from the 60s: Resin body: Maintains excellent gloss. It shows micro-scratches and surface wear marks typical of continued use over more than 50 years, but there are no cracks or structural breaks. Metals and Mechanism: The gold plating of the straight clip and the central double band remains in good condition. The original Pix public-repetition mechanism via push button operates precisely and robustly. (Please bidders, view the photographic gallery in detail, as it forms an essential part of the expert description of the piece. The lot is shipped without a case).
