We present to auction a great classic of luxury writing: the Montblanc Meisterstück Classique ballpoint pen (model 164), offered in the fascinating and sought-after burgundy color variant with gold-plated details. This iconic instrument combines the formal, rigorous elegance of the famous German house with a warm, distinctive color, perfect to stand out with style in every professional or personal occasion. The body and cap are masterfully crafted in Montblanc burgundy resin, whose smooth, glossy surface creates a refined contrast with the solid metal details, entirely gold-plated. The aesthetics are defined by the classic elongated clip and the three gold rings at the base of the cap, the middle one bearing the clear engraving of the brand. On the rounded top stands the pristine six-point white star, the universal symbol of artisanal excellence, while on the upper ring of the clip is the engraving of the individual serial number. Technically, the pen features a reliable twist mechanism for the cap, which actuates the ejection of the refill with exceptional fluidity. Photographs of the disassembled model confirm the perfect cleanliness and integrity of the original internal structure. The conservation state of this specimen should be considered generally good (used). In line with our usual and rigorous policy of total transparency, and as clearly shown in the macro detail image, there is a longitudinal crack/fracture in the resin near the cap clip. Despite this structural defect related to prior use, the pen maintains its overall aesthetic integrity, its closure, and the perfect functionality of the twist mechanism.
