Montblanc - Masterpiece 744-N - Fountain pen

A0000003554 The piece is presented in a generally very good condition, notable for its elegant finish in gold metal with a deep, uniform shine that reflects proper care over time. The body and cap maintain an excellent aesthetic presence, with micro signs of superficial use visible only under close inspection and certain light reflections, typical of light and respectful use. The clip retains its structural firmness and correct alignment, without deformations, maintaining its optimal functionality. The ring engravings are sharp and well defined, indicating careful preservation without significant wear on the inscriptions. The nib, in 14-carat gold (14K), is in very good condition, with no visible deformities in the tines. It shows light signs of use consistent with handwriting, not affecting its performance. The feed appears clean and properly aligned, ensuring adequate ink flow. The pen has been serviced and is delivered in proper working order, ready for use. The filling system operates smoothly, showing precise action and no play, reinforcing the good mechanical condition of the set. A slight patina and minimal pinpoint marks are observed on the gold finish, especially in areas of habitual contact, which do not detract from its overall aesthetics and instead add character to the piece. As there is no original box, it will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation. Happy bidding! Care recommendations To keep the pen in optimal condition, it is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, store in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and operate the filling system smoothly.
