Minox C black | Subminiature camera

Up for auction: an iconic piece of history of subminiature photography and espionage—a splendid Minox C in anodized black finish, belonging to the very first production series. This rare lot stands out for the presence of the white indicator for long exposure timing and the battery, a feature exclusive to the very earliest lots before the transition to the classic red LED. The Minox C was the first true "Spy Cam" equipped with a CdS electronic light meter coupled to the automatic shutter, capable of delivering exceptional macro focusing down to just 20 cm away. The lot is completed by its original Flash Cube (Cube Flasher) adapter and its original black leather case with a measuring chain (essential for calculating the exact distance in macro photos of secret documents). Mechanical and optical: The sliding mechanisms (opening/closing) for film advancement are smooth and precise. The lens and viewfinder are clean. NOT shipping EXTRA-EU.
