GENERAL: Beautiful and well-running Mini Cooper S Convertible (125kW=170bhp) from 2006, in original black metallic color with a neat electrically operated convertible roof. “Astro Black Metallic” is how Mini calls this color. A beautiful car with a lot of presence. The 1.6 liter engine with supercharger is paired with an automatic transmission that can also be shifted via steering wheel buttons. The MOT is valid until 14 March 2027. The car was newly delivered in the Netherlands, has Dutch registration, thus the mileage from new to date can be fully officially guaranteed, see the photos. EXTERIOR: The car has hardly any signs of use, which isn’t surprising after 20 years, and looks fine. The soft top is in neat used condition, and is fully electrically operable. Very easy and light to open and close. The original wind deflector is of course included, see photos. TECHNIK: After starting no warning lights remain on, the car has been properly maintained and sits on nice original Mini rims with all-season tires. The mounted and original radio works fine. The Mini Cooper S generation R53 is one of the most reliable Minis from the BMW era, 1.6 Chrysler block coupled to a volumetric compressor, a guarantee of reliability and consistent performance. The 2004-2007 generation is one that benefited from very useful developments, a new Getrag gearbox with better gear spreading, a more reliable steering system (addition of a steering fan), new 3-spoke steering wheel, addition of the glove compartment. Starts, drives, shifts and brakes well, like new. INTERIOR: The car features a very neat interior, with stunning seat upholstery (on the driver’s seat one seam has come loose a little, with nice mats and the door panels also look fine). DOCUMENTS: The car was newly delivered in the Netherlands, has Dutch registration, thus the mileage from new to date can be fully officially guaranteed. If desired, for an extra €50 the car can be supplied with an EU export document so a foreign buyer can easily register the Mini. A COC / CVO type approval can be supplied for an extra €70. TRANSPORT: The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands and can of course be picked up here. The car can be delivered within the Netherlands at extra cost (excl. the Wadden Islands).
