Milo (1910-1978) - after - Sculpture

Impressive and atmospheric bronze sculpture after Milo, depicting a woman in a restrained, almost protective pose. The powerful curved body stance, the long hair and the richly worked draperies give the sculpture a lot of emotion and character. The contrast between the smooth forms of the body and the rougher texture of the base creates a particularly vivid overall impression. The bronze has a deep dark patina with warmer bronze accents on the higher-lying parts. This makes the shapes, folds and details come forward beautifully. The work bears the signature “Milo” (after) and also carries a round bronze marking with the text “Bronze Garanti Paris – J.B. Déposée”. The sculpture sits on an elegant black marble/stone plinth, allowing it to be presented directly as a luxury art object. An expressive and decorative artwork that fits excellently in both a modern, classical and eclectic interior. Features * Bronze * After Milo * Signed * Marking “Bronze Garanti Paris – J.B.
