First edition, published on November 27, 1979, featuring 74 color photographs based on the authors’ Polaroids. The book offers a particularly fascinating photographic record of Parisian nightlife in the late 1970s, particularly around the Palace, featuring Andy Warhol, Philippe Morillon, Eva Ionesco, Alain Pacadis, Edwige, and various other figures from that scene. A specialized catalog describes it as the first photographic book devoted to this subject. Michel Saloff’s photographs from this period were also acquired in large numbers by the Musée national d’Art moderne – Centre Pompidou and subsequently exhibited. A very fine, presentable copy, with its original slipcase.
