Michel Froidevaux (1942) - L'arbre

This work by Michel FROIDEVAUX consists of a series of three polychrome lacquered wooden panels, in a triptych format, each panel signed. It is a color variation (2 in black lacquer and 1 in blue lacquer) around the theme of “the tree.” This composition shares a common plastic vocabulary (the same vertical bands, the same cut-out shapes, and the recurring motif of the tree). Dimensions: - 2 black lacquer panels > 32 cm / 32 cm. - 1 blue lacquer panel > 25 cm / 40 cm. Michel FROIDEVAUX, an artist born in 1942, distinguished himself through abstract and/or Art Deco works, notably through his work on lacquered wooden panels, as well as through his furniture pieces.
