In good vintage condition, a historically heavily constructed beech plywood sewing thread cabinet with four drawers, the drawer fronts made of glass and equipped with metal handles. Each drawer is divided into several numbered compartments with different colored sewing thread spools. Period approx. 1930 – 1950. From the German brand MEZ Progress and probably originating from a former craft or sewing supplies shop. The chest of drawers was used for storage and display of sewing thread spools. It is now a collectible and decorative object from the Third Industrial Revolution. On the sides it reads "Registered - MEZ - Colorfastness Mark". Note: stains, scratches, wear spots, varnish damage and patina formation. Most of the thread spools have been used and are mixed together. For shipping we have laid white paper on top in the hope that it stays in place during transit. Please examine all photos carefully before bidding. Dimensions: Height 22 cm x Width 37.5 cm x Depth 30 cm. Weight: approx. 7.5 kg. Background information: MEZ offers a wide and balanced range of sewing threads for various applications: from general sewing to special threads for maintenance and repair, as well as patchwork and quilting and machine embroidery.
