Beautiful Mexican terracotta sculpture depicting a male warrior-type figure, strongly inspired by Aztec/Mexica iconography. The sculpture features a prominent headdress comprising several feather-like or pointed elements, large ear ornaments, a decorated pectoral, and various attributes held in the hands. The face is particularly expressive, with an open mouth and stylized features characteristic of Mesoamerican-inspired representations. The piece is made of terracotta/ceramic, with polychrome decoration in brown-red, black and light tones. It rests on an integrated oval base within the sculpture. * Height: 34.5 cm * Width: about 18.5 cm * Weight: about 1.6 kg * Material: terracotta / ceramic * Origin: probably Mexico * Period: 20th century, to be confirmed * Signature/mark: none visible under the base * Condition: good overall for its age, with signs of wear and variations in patina/coloration. Note: this is a sculpture inspired by Aztec/Mexica culture. No provenance is available to establish a pre-Columbian archaeological origin.
