Pre-Columbian, Mesoamerica. A collection of five hollow pottery spheres, likely Pre-Columbian, possibly used as game pieces or rattles. The largest examples are pierced with numerous small holes for venting steam to prevent breakage during firing and are hollow, suggesting use as rattles, and two display incised radiating lines dividing the surface into segments.
