In-4, dark blue long-grain morocco leather, romantic gilt decoration consisting of a frame of various thick, double, and wavy fillets, as well as scrolls and florets; spandrels with a dotted background in the center; rosette decoration with a fleur-de-lis on the north and south sides, decorated spine, richly gilded inner border, unbleached silk endpapers and lining, gilt edges, cover and spine, slipcase (Chambolle-Duru). 19 original watercolors by Bertrand, printed in color. Limited edition of 150 copies on vellum. One of 5 copies on Japanese paper retouched with watercolor, this one enhanced with 5 original watercolors by the artist.
