MEDSAN - Grendizer Tea Time (グレンダイザーのティータイム) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE LEFT IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan places Goldorak, the giant robot from UFO Robot Grendizer, in the small living room of an old lady. He is seated, knees pressed together, and with the tips of his blue fingers he holds a tiny cup of flowered tea. His large yellow horns brush the ceiling and his yellow eye turns toward his host. Opposite him, in a flowery armchair, a grandmother with gray hair tied in a bun knits a long red scarf that runs to the floor and ends in fringes. Between them, a wooden side table bears a teapot and a plate of biscuits. At their feet, a tabby cat sleeps curled up against the robot’s boots. On the wall, a small frame shows Goldorak’s saucer above a country landscape, on a cream tapestry studded with pink flowers and cracked with fissures. The navy blue of the armor and the red match the red of the wool. One would think of a peaceful tea time between two old acquaintances. A tender and humorous piece, ideal for adding a touch of nostalgia to a collector’s interior or to a fan of 1980s giant robots.
