MEDSAN - Boy with Air Jordan 1 (エア・ジョーダン1を抱く少年) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE EXISTS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan entrusts to a young boy with short brown hair a Nike Air Jordan 1 in its Chicago red, white and black colorway. Dressed in a dark buttoned tunic with a white collar, he holds the sneaker flat on his two open palms, like a precious object, and gazes at it, eyelids lowered, without a smile. The black Swoosh crosses the white flank, the Air Jordan wing logo marks the top of the red upper, and the black laces run up to the tongue label. From the right edge, a hand of an older man with prominent veins emerges from a gray sleeve and points a finger toward the shoe. The rest is plunged into darkness: a brown-black background where a section of wall can be discerned, and a warm light falling from the left onto the boy’s face, his hands, and the red of the sneaker. The palette is limited to a few colors—black, brown, bright red and off-white. A silent transmission scene. A strong and singular piece, ideal for adding a touch of sneaker culture to a collector’s interior.
