Black Tourmaline Obelisk in Natural Matrix — This imposing obelisk is a true mineral sculpture, skilfully carved from a massive block of Black Tourmaline in matrix sourced from Brazil. With a weight of over 5.7 kg, this piece stands out for its cinematic presence and strong visual impact, making it a collectible item and a statement piece of furniture with great character. The most fascinating feature of this specimen is its natural breccia structure. Angular fragments of Black Tourmaline, in its most common variety Schorl, are embedded and cemented by a lighter matrix, predominantly quartz- and feldspathic. This creates a dynamic color contrast between the deep black of the tourmaline and the delicate pinkish, beige, and gray hues of the matrix, enriched by brown iron-ore veins. The obelisk form, slender and elegant, was chosen to maximize the intrinsic beauty of the mineral.
