In 18th-century Venice, between secrets and gondolas, lived Elena, a woman said to be born from the foam of the lagoon. Her most extraordinary feature was emerald-green eyes, capable of enchanting anyone. Elena was a silk embroiderer, but her true life began at dusk during Carnival. To escape the nobles, she wrapped herself in a large violet and indigo veil – the colors of Venetian night – and wore a mask that revealed only her magnetic gaze. One full-moon night in St. Mark's Square, a young court painter saw her dancing. Enchanted by the perfect contrast between the mystery of the veil, the golden details, and the light of her pupils, he swore he would paint nothing else. He chased her through the calli, but she vanished, leaving only the fragrance of jasmine behind. Unable to retrieve her, the painter spent the rest of his days imprinting that face in ceramic, capturing the veil’s fluidity and the regality of her features. This mask is born to pass down that same magic: a tribute to the mysterious Venetian woman with green eyes, guardian of the secrets of the Serenissima.
