Mart Signed - WAS IT WORTH IT?

Gallery Value: Original stencil works by Mart Signed, not prints, are offered through European galleries with indicative quotations ranging roughly from 3,000 to 4,000 euros, testifying to the positioning and collecting interest reached by the artist’s work. Technique: Spray stencil on materials recovered from the street, selected to preserve the identity and authenticity of the street art language. Material (XPS Boards (Extruded Polystyrene Panels): 50x50 Dimensions: The indicated dimensions refer to the specific exemplar offered and should be considered approximate due to the irregular shape and perimeter of the fragment. Certificate of authenticity: Included and signed by the artist. Some images show a simulation of the work displayed in an environment and are only to give an idea of how it might appear. To evaluate the work, scroll through the details Broken Wall Broken Wall arises from Mart Signed’s exploration of the relationship between street art, matter, and urban memory. The project brings into homes, galleries, and private collections a fragment of the language of the street, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary artwork. The wall is not merely the support for the image, but becomes an integral part of the work. Its surface, the cracks, the traces of time, and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art arises. The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken and the urban fragment finds a new placement. The work The work does not impose an answer, but leaves each observer free to find their own interpretation. The stencil is made directly on the support: this is not a print or a reproduction. The work depicted in the photographs is exactly the same one that the collector will receive. Materials and authenticity Materials recovered from the street are chosen to maintain the living relationship with the original street art language. Marks, abrasions, surface variations, irregularities, and natural imperfections are not defects, but elements that belong to the history of the material and to the identity of the work. These characteristics are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process. The work is signed, accompanied by the artist-signed certificate of authenticity, and delivered ready to hang. The frame is not included unless otherwise indicated for the specific exemplar. Instagram and participation in the project The journey of the work can continue even after purchase. Collectors can share their work on Instagram by tagging @martsigned and using the hashtag #MartSigned. Works properly tagged may be reshared by the artist through its channels, showing the different destinations reached by the works and creating a direct connection between artist, collector, and the public. Periodically, through social networks, special initiatives, raffles, or small street art-related gifts may also be organized. Participation is optional and independent from the purchase of the work. Any modalities and conditions are communicated through the artist’s official channels. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally. His works are part of private collections in numerous countries and his artistic research centers on the concept “Where Are You Street Art?”: bringing the language and material of the street inside homes, galleries, private collections, and spaces traditionally distant from the urban context. Over the years Mart Signed has developed his international presence through collaborations and relations with various art-world entities. His research relates street art, urban memory, recovered materials, and space transformation. In 2023 Mart Signed also participated in a documentary dedicated to Banksy and the culture of street art. Shipping The work is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc. Each piece is carefully packaged, protected, and insured, with particular attention to the most delicate parts and to the irregular shape of the support. Shipping includes full tracking, from departure to delivery. In case of a high volume of shipments, preparation and delivery may require a few additional days. For any information related to shipping, you may contact the artist directly through the platform. Edition and uniqueness Broken Wall comprises a limited series of 20 unique works. Each piece is created individually and no exemplar can be identical to another. The shape of the support, the fracture, the surface, the marks, the imperfections, and the material characteristics naturally vary from one work to another, making each piece unrepeatable. The 20 works share the same artistic concept and core idea, but each maintains its own physical and visual identity. They are not 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series. Each work is identified by a specific code printed on the certificate of authenticity.
