It is a articulated Mallet locomotive with separate high- and low-pressure cylinders — a construction designed to haul heavy trains through tight curves and steep gradients, and which in Bavaria reached its most impressive form. Märklin released this model as a one-off series to celebrate the jubilee "200 Jahre Königreich Bayern" and supplied it as an MHI model through hobby trade channels. Specification: – mfx decoder with regulated high-power drive and sound generator with many functions – Four axles driven, six anti-slip bands – Articulated steering drive (Gelenkfahrwerk), allowing the model to negotiate tight curves despite its length – Double-headlight on both ends, white light alternating with direction of travel, conventional operation and digitally switchable – Digitally switchable: steam locomotive running sound, whistle, start/stop delay; with a Systems control additional sounds are available such as coal shovels, air pump, second whistle tone and squealing brakes – Numerous individually applied details Length over buffers: 20.3 cm. The locomotive is delivered in a decorative wooden case with an inlaid historic photo of the prototype in the lid, plus the original Märklin cardboard outer box. Condition: the locomotive is in excellent, barely used condition. The paint and the fine green lining are intact, the brass maintenance plates are sharp, and the added details, rails and hand levers are complete and undamaged.
