First Italian edition (the French one is from 1904) of this futurist poem by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti (1876–1944). Compared with the French edition, this translation includes the report of the trial for indecency with the interventions of Marinetti, Barzilai, Sarfatti, etc.. See Salaris, p. 45 - Falqui, p. 69. Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Destruction. A Futurist Poem with the trial and the acquittal of ‘Mafarka the Futurist’. Translation from French into free verse, Milan, Edizioni Futuriste di Poesia, 1911. PP.: 259, (V), 100, (VI). COMPLETE. Copy with pages in overall very good condition, with some old underlining and pencil notes. Stamp of a private, defunct library on the title page. Contemporary half-cloth binding with gilt title to the spine, very well preserved. White endpapers.
