Marie Alphonse Mucha - “Les Quatres Saisons, 1902”. Gesigneerd in de plaat.

Marie Alphonse Mucha: Title: “Les Quatres Saisons, 1902”. Signed on the plate. Color offset litho. Condition: the work is in excellent condition. Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) is one of the indisputable masters of Art Nouveau and a fundamental figure in the history of decorative modern art. His instantly recognizable style, characterized by elegant female figures, flowing lines, ornamental halos, and rich botanical motifs, has become synonymous with fin-de-siècle Paris and the rise of graphic art as a collected discipline. Mucha's works enjoy enduring international demand, with high prices for posters, lithographs, and decorative panels, appealing just as much to fine art enthusiasts, design fans, and interior stylists. From a market and collection perspective, Mucha stands alongside other highly sought-after names in modern and decorative art, such as Gustav Klimt, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Egon Schiele, and Aubrey Beardsley, while also resonating with collectors of broader modern and contemporary icons like Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Keith Haring, Banksy, and Jeff Koons. His work frequently appears in searches related to Art Nouveau interiors, vintage posters, luxury interiors, Belle Époque aesthetics, the history of graphic design, and collectible prints.
