Title: Le Moulin Rouge ㅤ School: Catalan School (20th century) ㅤ Author: Maria Asunción Raventós ㅤ Style: Expressionism / Figurative Abstraction ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Good overall state of conservation. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The composition participates in the languages of European figurative renewal of the 20th century, with a marked geometric simplification and an expressive treatment of architecture. The Cubist and Expressionist influence is especially perceptible in the fragmentation of space. ㅤ Interpretation of the famous Moulin Rouge through a structure of geometric planes, diagonals and simplified architectural shapes.
