King Charles III – Set of 6 original photographic proofs as a young Prince – “Private for The Queen” – Royal Family Description Rare and remarkable set of six original photographic proofs depicting a young Prince Charles, now King Charles III. The six photographs originate from the same royal portrait sitting and present the young Prince in a series of slightly different poses. What makes this group particularly unusual are the handwritten editorial and selection annotations preserved on the photographs and their margins, including: “Private for The Queen” “Private” “No” Several photographs are specifically marked “Private for The Queen”, apparently indicating that these particular proofs were reserved for the Queen’s consideration or private use.
