This modernist, aesthetic, sterling silver teapot in the manner of Christopher Dresser with spherical bullet shape body on straight tripod legs, flush inverted lid with ebony finial and ebony carved wood handle. Fully hallmarked Sterling Silver for Mappin and Webb city of Sheffield 1903 and stamped on base with retailers Mappin & Webb London. Original Box leatherette stamped EOH, blue velvet and satin interior stamped for Mappin Brothers 220 Regent Street London W with Royal warrant above. Length of Teapot: 8 inches. Height: 5.40 inches. Depth: 4 inches Gross Weight: 388 grams. Condition: Teapot very good, no issues, reflections from photography only. Box minor wear. Dr Christopher Dresser collaborated with many of the well-known Silversmiths of the late 19th century including Hukin and Heath, Elkington Co, James Dixon and Mappin and Webb.
