A very fine and rare Sévres “Fond Bleu” jug with blue agate ground decorated with gilt palmettes and ivy vines. The jug is part of the service made for King Louis-Philippe I who commissioned it for the Chateau Compiegne as part of the “Service de la Table du Roi” (the King's Table Service) Stamped on the bottom in blue with Sévres 1839 and in red with Chateau Compiegne Incised with letters and numbers Standing ca. 15 cm tall Condition: A crack on the side, otherwise very good with a rich and warm, very intact gilding Please see the photos Will be sent by registered and insured mail No shipping to the United States
