MANN - Rik Van Looy, Herman Van Springel - 1960 - Cycling jersey

This specific shirt is a rare and historically original wool cycling jersey from Dr. Mann from the early 60s (circa 1960-1965), the period before Grundig joined as co-sponsor. The Belgian cycling team Dr. Mann was founded in 1960. This shirt dates from the very first years of the team, when the Belgian pharmaceutical company (known for headache powders) was still the sole main sponsor. Riders such as the young Herman Van Springel (who debuted with the team in 1965) and the legendary Belgian breakaway specialist Rik Van Looy (who in 1964 and 1965 was the absolute leader of the Dr. Mann team) rode in exactly this type of jersey during the early spring classics.
